Your fitness journey. How and why did you get started? The reason I started my fitness journey is because I wanted to build muscle and become stronger. I’ve been skinny most of my life and was self-conscious about it, so a change was in order. One way I became inspired to improve myself, was many of my favorite movie actors have made incredible body transformations for their roles. Some of my favorite actors that have done this are: Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Chris Pratt and Jake Gyllenhaal. I’ve always thought if they could do it, I could too.
How helpful has having a coach/trainer been for you? Having a trainer has been helpful because doing a lift correctly is important to me. When I go to the gym I want to get the most out of my workout and avoid injuries.
What are things you have learned along the way? I’ve learned how to do some of the more difficult lifts with correct form. Some of those in include: barbell squats and deadlifts.
From where you are today, what is most important to you and your fitness goals moving forward? This is the longest (a year) that I’ve committed to consistently going to the gym. My goal is to continue to stay motivated and reach my goals. That includes lifting heavier weights and continuing to build more muscle. So far I’ve put on 18 lbs. in 7 months and hope to reach to my goal of 190 lbs.
What is the single most important thing you learned that you would like to pass on to others who are getting started? Consistency is key when it comes to completing your fitness goals. Eating a clean diet with the correct macros and micros is just as important as showing up to the gym consistently.

You have done an amazing job. We will keep working hard until we get to your 190 pound goal! Keep pushing!
