Your fitness journey. How and why did you get started? I started with a small workout program over the summer because I was not happy with my appearance, it helped but when it ended I went back to my normal habits and gained whatever weight i lost. When I hit 200 lbs it was a wake up call and I committed to a diet and doing cardio after every training session.
How helpful has having a coach/trainer been for you? I made the most progress working with matt and he helped me raise my bench max to 145 to 235 my goal was to 225 and helped do a pullup within a few months.
What are things you have learned along the way? Cardio intervals, Lifting techniques and some new exercises such as skull crushes, and when benching holding the bar near my chest longer before pressing.
From where you are today, what is most important to you and your fitness goals moving forward? Not losing what I have gained, In one of the past summers I cancelled a lot of workout sessions and all of max weight went down, it was frustrating getting it back to where it was. Nor, do i want to gain my weight back, I still want to lose some more weight but im alot happier where I am now then.
What is the single most important thing you learned that you would like to pass on to others who are getting started? According to the treadmill, jogging a mile is close to 100 calories. It really put some perspective towards foods and calories.
I'm proud of you man and everything you have done! Keep up the awesome work!
